What's Growing On In the Garden?

Evergreen’s Garden is truly thriving!!

New to the garden are aji dulce peppers, jalepeño peppers, eggplant, tomatoes, and marigolds. 

Also, strawberries are coming in every day, so if you haven’t tried them yet, come by the Green Room!

A recent addition to the Green Room has been a hydroponic growing system. Hydroponics is a method of gardening that does not use soil.

 
Even though we have access to our own outdoor garden, this system allows us to grow things indoors which is especially useful in the colder months.

All of the Evergreen 6th graders have had the opportunity to use our hydroponic system.  They were able to grow a variety of herbs and greens including basil, kale, joy choi and lettuce.
