Curriculum

Students at Evergreen receive instruction in the four core subjects; English Language Arts (ELA), Math, Science and Social Studies. In addition, students receive instruction in Physical Education, Health, Art, and Theatre.

At Evergreen, we believe that language and literacy have the power to heal, inspire and lead students to become agents of change in their lives and beyond. Students read relevant, engaging, self-selected texts that inspire them to think deeply, reflect and grow. We aim to empower students to be critical readers. We want them to be able to see themselves in the texts they read resulting in authentic writing which demonstrates strong voice and purpose.

Art Electives

Each student can choose an art elective to participate in twice a week. We will do our best to accommodate each student. Activities include acoustic guitar, band, film studies, yoga, sewing, calligraphy, cartooning, jewelry making, music production, and more!

Literacy Instruction

Students receive personalized literacy instruction three times per week based on their individual needs. Literacy activities include phonics instruction, independent reading, poetry, and more!
